Junior TrainingMatson Under 11's start training on the 7th September at 10:30am and our Under 14's start on Monday 4th August at 6:45pm. The Under 16's start training on Monday 21st July at 6.45pm and have two conditioning sessions on Sunday 3rd & 10th August at 10.30am
Junior Kit Day & Photo Session
All juniors in the club are asked to attend this event on 28th September 2008 at 10:30am.
5-Aside Football Tournament
On Saturday 16th August we are hosting a 5 aside football tournament, KO 1pm. There should be 7 people per team, all teams to choose a colour to play in. There is a list on the notice board at club or contact Ravers on 07759 778132.

U15's Win U16's tournament at Kingsholm
On the 29th May, Matson entered the U15’s into the U16’s touch competition at Kingsholm, sponsored by the RAF. We won the competition by beating the current U17 County champions (Cheltenham) in the Final 3 - 2 on tries. Gallery and Report.

Raging Bull Cup
Matson 2nd XV lost in the NGC Junior Cup Final at the weekend 34-0 to Coney Hill.
GRFU County Cup Champions !!
Matson Under 15's squad are now GRFU County Cup Champions !!!! They won 18 - 17 against Cleve on Sunday, match report Here, some pictures of game can be found Here. Stu Locke would like to thank Jeff Payne, Nigel McMahon, Shaun Knight, Ade Knight, Mark Wasley and Ade Badham for there help this season.
Kingsholm Final
Matson 2nd XV will now be playing at Kingsholm on May 4th after an 8-6 win over Spartans in the semi-final last night. All support obviously very welcome on the day, when we take on Coney Hill.
NGC Cup Update
Matson 2nd XV are home to Spartans in the NGC Junior Cup Semi Final. Our 1st XV went out to Gordon League 22 - 13, the scoreline flatters them abit, scoring a try in the final minutes.
NGC Cup Semi Final
Matson 2nd XV go through to NGC Junior Cup Semi Final after beating Tredworth 1st XV 9 - 3.
NGC Junior Cup Qtr Final
Matson 2nd XV take on Tredworth 1st XV at home in the Junior Cup quarter final tonight. Kick off is at 6pm, support welcome.
NGC Cup Semi Final
Matson defied the underdogs tag to edge past Chosen Hill 8-6 at Redwell Road in the Worthington Senior Cup quarter-finals. We scored the only try though prop Shaun Knight while fly-half Aaron Fowke slotted a drop-goal to see off their Western Counties North visitors.
NGC Cup
Both our senior teams will be in NGC cup action this week. The 1st XV are home on Tuesday 8th, 6pm k/o against Chosen Hill FP. Our 2nd XV travel to Gloucester All Blues on Wednesday 9th, again a 6pm k/o.

Mexican Night
We are to host a Mexican Night on the 5th April 2008, £5 per person, any members going on tour MUST be in fancy dress.
Annual Dinner & Dance
Our Annual Dinner & Dance (Black Tie) will be held on the 10th May 2008, (7:00pm - 7:30pm) £25 per person. Menu to follow.
Under 15's
Matson finish the year with an 8 game unbeaten run with a convincing 55-0 win over Cirencester.
50th Anniversary Season Photo
we are having a 50th anniversary season photo taken at the clubhouse on Saturday 15th December at 1.00pm, anyone involved in the club is welcome.

Matson Vets v Chelt North Vets
On Friday 14th September 2007 Matson Vets will play Cheltenham North Vets (at cheltenham north), kick off 6pm.
Smoking Ban
Matson Rugby Club is now a smoke free club, we hope this will give everyone a more relaxed environment.

The clubs AGM will be held at the Clubhouse on Wednesday 18th July at 19:30, black card members only.
